The Story of Mowgli

An adaptation from the collection of children's stories "The Jungle Book" by Rudyard Kipling, this series follows the adventures of the 10-year-old boy named Mowgli was a man-cub who is raised by the wolves in the jungles of India. His birth mother died when he was a baby. He explores the world and learns about living life in the wild with his friends Baloo, Bagheera and Kaa. His birth mother died when he was a baby. His friends, fatherly bear Baloo and playful panther Bagheera. They live in the Indian jungle where many dangers lurk, such as the mighty Bengal tiger Shere Khan. The inquisitive Mowgli often gets himself into trouble and can't resist helping animals in danger or solving other problems.

Main characters

·    Mowgli (voiced by Emma Tate) is a ten-year-old boy who living in the jungles of India and adopted by the wolf pack led by Akela when he was young. His birth mother had died of killed by the Bengal tiger named Shere Khan when he was a baby, so Raksha became his adoptive mother and took care of him. He keeps a tiger claw which he as a pendant which he took in a battle from the man-eating tiger Shere Khan.

·    Daruka (voiced by Aaron Albertus) is the adoptive father of Mowgli and Raksha’s mate. Although Mowgli usually lives with Baloo and Bagheera, he visits Daruka's family sometimes. In the Disney film, Daruka's name is Rama.

·    Raksha (voiced by Prudence Alcott) is the adoptive mother of Mowgli and Daruka’s mate. She is beautiful, kind, gentle, brave and motherly. At the time, Mowgli’s birth mother had died, so Raksha became Mowgli’s adoptive mother to took care of him.

·    Bala (voiced by Richard Epcar) is the adoptive brother of Mowgli and Lali’s younger brother. He is fun-loving, kind, stubborn, caring and protective.

·    Lali (voiced by Danny Katiana) is the adoptive sister of Mowgli and Bala’s elder sister. She is tomboyish, energetic, loving, kind, and outspoken.

·    Akela (voiced by Joseph J. Terry) is the leader of the wolves
